Five Things Friday

Pin It PIN IT!

HOLY SMOKES, it’s Friday! AND it’s 2:00. What the heck? Today has been SO busy at my job with back to back meetings and such, so I just now have a moment to blog. I want to say congrats, again, to Bake Your Day for her luck in winning the amazing Anthro loot! Congrats girl! I’m already planning my next giveaway, which will be huge, so be sure to spread the word to like my page! I’m hosting the next one when I reach 1,000!

1. I’m so pumped for the wine festival this weekend! I’m going on Saturday with my good friend Melanie and I’m so excited. Plus, the countryside of Va is absolutely gorgeous. Sights and wine? I’m in heaven.

Hopefully the weather is just as nice because I’m ready to drop some dollars on good, local Virginia wine!

2. I have a bunch of new recipes  live over at She Knows! Including these delicious chocolate zucchini muffins & baked zucchini fries! Check em out and leave a comment!

I also wrote an article on fending off vampires and foods to help conception, so head over there and read them too!

3. My darling puppy, the  little love of my life, is having his man hood YANKED in the next coming weeks 🙁

It’s definitely something that has to happen, but it makes me so nervous/sad to know he has to go through surgery soon. He’s such a precious little man. However, because he isn’t fixed, he’s VERY territorial, marks everywhere and has gotten really aggressive. He snaps at everyone (even Elliot!) I’ve read countless articles that fixing him will help with the aggression, I’m just a little worry wart and don’t want him to be scared in surgery!

4. My cousin’s wedding last weekend kicked off the LAST wedding for me in 2011. I’ve had 6 thus far and, although I love them, am so exhausted from all the traveling! From DC to IN to NM to OH it’s been a hectic month and a half. It’ll be nice to stay around home for a few weekends and enjoy what fall has to offer! However, I am so blessed to have been a part of Ashley’s wedding! She asked me to help coordinate & plan, so I was as attached to the event as she was! We picked out the centerpiece ideas, where the ceremony would be, place card ideas and almost everything. Plus, on the day off, I made sure everything and everybody was where it/they needed to be. It was very stressful coordinating the event, but it was also really exhilarating. I’m definitely not going to quit my day job but it might be a fun thing to do on the side? (Not like I have enough to do now, right?) Here are some photos 🙂

Omg, such a fun weekend. I love my family 🙂

5. Y’all, you have got to check out Forever 21. They have the CUTEST fall clothes right now. I’m a serious budget (BOO, I HATE YOU MONIES) so I’m trying to add some fun pieces to my wardrobe that won’t break the bank. A few things I’m lusting after right now are:

[1, 2 & 3]

[4, 5 & 6]

I have two prettttty amazing recipes on the docket for next week. I’m finally breaking out the pumpkin, pears and parsnips so they’ll be perfect for you fall meals. So stay tuned for those!

Have a great weekend!

Don't worry about your little tyke. Getting the old "snip-snip" is totally routine -- and it's even an easier procedure for boy-dogs than girl-dogs. Both of my boys underwent the knife early on, and they were juuuust fine. And I really bet it will go a long way in terms of his behavior. Chin up!

I didn't win your giveaway. I understand. You are saving me as a winner for your bigger and better giveaway. Holy balls, am I excited. Anyway, weddings are a blast, but yes, soooo time-consuming. Weddings steal my money too. I was a wedding planner for my cousin's wedding mid-February. That wedding was during the day. Then, I went to Krystal's wedding (Krystal's Kitsch) as a guest as night that same day. I just got back from a friend's wedding in NC during Labor Day weekend, I'm a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding in October and I'm the MOH in my best friend's wedding in November. That's 2 local bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, hair, makeup, alterations. Plus, I have to host the bridal shower and bachelorette party for the Nov friend and co-host the one for the Oct friend. Whew. I'll be so glad when it's over.
