Thanksgiving Baker’s Giveaway!

Pin It PIN IT!

The food I most look forward to on Thanksgiving is pie. What about you?

November is the month for giving thanks and there’s no better way to say thank you to all of my amazing friends, fans and readers by hosting a giveaway! For those who don’t follow me on twitter, I sent out a poll to my followers to see which they would prefer to win; thanksgiving bakeware or table decor. The vote was close but it seems this Thanksgiving, most people would rather have new pie bakeware from Williams-Sonoma! Their new line of Thanksgiving bakeware is absolutely gorgeous, with bright, crisp colors and fun, fall designs. I especially love their collection of pie and tart pieces, since pumpkin pie is my favorite Thanksgiving indulgence! Whether you are baking for a large family or just for one, these pieces are sure to come in handy! And, as an added bonus, you’ll also win a fabulous book of recipes!

One lucky winner will receive:

Emile Henry Artisan Ruffle Pie Dish [in brown, white or red]

My favorite Thanksgiving item (it isn't really a dish) are these rolls that my grandmother makes. They are so delicious that they don't even have a name, haha. They are dough rolled in cinnamon sugar and stuffed with chocolate chips, nuts and cherries. Obviously they aren't that great for you, but none of my Thanksgiving meals are complete without them!

My favorite dish is sweet potatoes. But not any old sweet potatoes like the ones with marshmellows on top. My mom makes some that are on top of a layer of pineapple slices and it's delicious! Even if they're not, at least it sounds healthier! :)

Pumpkin pie, pumpkin pie, pumpkin pie! I LOVE pumpkin pie!!! It's relatively easy to make and SOOOO good. One year my fiancee forgot to add the evaporated milk. It tasted the same, was a little more dense...and a lot less calories. Was almost glad she forgot it. :-)

Okay, this isn't going to be the normal fall treat- but it's still my favorite!! It's super amazing and for a choco-holic like me, it's a dream! I always always always make my family a Kentucky Derby pie for Thanksgiving. It's amazing! It's like a big, warm chocolate chip cookie but in pie form! Serve it hot with ice cream... Delicious. Probably my biggest indulgence on Thanksgiving, but hey! Thanksgiving only comes around once a year, right?

I'm from rural East Texas and we like simple foods, but they taste terrific and provide much comfort. My favorite for Thanksgiving is baked cornbread dressing with bite-sized pieces of cooked chicken in it, as well as boiled egg, celery, the usual ingredients, and about 1 cup of cooked rice thrown in for good luck.

I've been called a communist because...I don't like turkey. There, I've said it! In fact, I don't like mashed potatoes or cranberry sauce or green beans either. As you can tell, Thanksgiving is rough for me. There is one dish though that is MINE! It's the stuffing. I have no idea what my mom does but her stuffing is wonderful. Dessert is always nice, but that's a given.

Now I have liked you on FB and I already follow you my dear on twitter ;-) I would have to say that one of my faves is my caramel pecan pie - all homemade and with about 6 inches of chocolate mousse...it is heavenly and honestly a pain to make...so many steps...but sooo worth it in the end! My other fave is stuffing - my mom's recipe with sausage in it! It's so good I make stuffing and cranberry sandwiches the next day. Now I'm hungry ;-)
